Artists will take to the streets of historic Langhorne Borough for an Outdoor Paint-out on Saturday, September 22, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Rain Date will be Sunday, September 21.
Visitors for the day are invited to bring their own paints, pens, pastels, and to join in. They are also welcome to simply watch and see how the artists work or to view previous works the artists will have on display. Items will be available for sale. Attendance at the event is free for both artists and visitors.
The sign-in location will be in the town center at the park of the Richardson House and Peace Center at the intersection of Maple and Bellevue Avenues. Appropriately, this location is just across the street from the birthplace of Bucks County’s foremost primitive artist, Edward Hicks (now the Langhorne Coffee House) as well as the site of Hicks’ early apprenticeship (now the Langhorne Hotel)
Participating artists will include former and current Artists-at-the-Farm who have studios at Langhorne’s Heritage Farm, located on Green Street. Some of the artists who will be on hand are: Michael Bikov, ConnieMcHugh, Sharon Spraw, Tonia Sabatini, Ian Ackers and Mary Walsh.
Board members of the Langhorne Council for the Arts will provide home-baked refreshments and beverages to artists and those attending.
