Photography has been a part of my life and an ongoing hobby since I received my first camera at age eleven as a gift from my grandmother. Since then, I've enjoyed taking nature, travel, still shots, and candid photos... For many years I used a Nikon with all its filters and lenses... I loved the camera but found it didn't suit me for those spontaneous photos I mostly take... so now I carry an HP PhotoSmart digital just for those moments. I also enjoy digital because I can transpose my photos to an entirely new look through using Photoshop, a very powerful software program.
I graduated from Bucks County Community College specializing in Graphic Design. I've held several positions in the Graphic Design field, did the photography for the back covers of two published books,
Caterfly by Don DePaul and
The Children of Cambodia's Killing Fields by
Dith Pran. I received a few honorable mentions in several amateur photo contests. Some of my photos from the International Library of Photography can be viewed at
www.ephotograph.com. I've dabbled in various styles of Western calligraphy (Gothic, Italic, Roman) and have taken classes in Chinese and Japanese brushwork. I find Asian brushwork soothing to me and many times I'm surprised by what happens when ink and brush meet the paper.
